Arosa Bear Sanctuary

An experience for young and old

Set within an unspoilt alpine landscape of pastures, shrubs, rocks, streams, and forest, rescued bears are given the chance to relearn their natural behavior and reclaim a life suited to their species. Visitors can observe this process up close. The bears, once kept chained or confined to small, filthy cages in Ukraine, Serbia, and Albania, were rescued by FOUR PAWS and brought to the Arosa Bear Sanctuary. The Arosa Bear Sanctuary offers a meaningful experience for visitors of all ages, combining nature, education, and conservation. At the bear viewing platform over 2,000 meters above sea level, guests can learn about the history of bears and discover fascinating facts. Additional highlights include the adventure trail, bear mini golf, the adventure playground at the middle station, and the adventure trail, all of which make the visit both informative and engaging.
